Deputy Heitman was part of a multi-agency task force that tracked down a violent suspect wanted on multiple felony warrants, including assaulting a law enforcement officer while escaping custody.

When the suspect fled on foot—jumping a fence, crossing a creek, and running through an open field—Deputy Heitman and his loyal K-9 partner, Thanos, pursued relentlessly and successfully apprehended him, bringing the dangerous chase to a safe conclusion.
