DANBURY, Conn. — The New Milford community is mourning the tragic loss of Brittany Islami, a devoted mother of three who died in a motorcycle crash early Monday morning in Danbury. She was 34.
The Accident
According to Danbury Police, Brittany was riding as a passenger on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle operated by Bridgeport Police Officer Cooper Whiteside when the motorcycle collided with a Jeep Compass on Sugar Hollow Road near the Ridgefield town line at approximately 2:45 a.m. Both Brittany and Officer Whiteside were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Jeep was transported to Danbury Hospital with serious injuries.
