Judd, President Emeritus of CCSU and a respected leader in higher education and emergency medical services. He died on July 15, 2026, at the age of 89.
A Legacy in Higher Education
Dr. Judd served as the 11th president of Central Connecticut State University from 1996 to 2004. His leadership helped shape generations of students, faculty, and community partners. Even after his presidency, he remained deeply connected to the university, earning lasting respect for his commitment to education and public service.
CCSU President Zulma R. Toro shared condolences, remembering him as a visionary leader devoted to building, teaching, and giving back to the university community. A celebration of life is planned for early September, with details to be announced.
Pioneer in Emergency Medical Services
