A Proud Faith Longhorn and Cowboy
Born and raised in Faith, Wylee embraced the traditions and values of western South Dakota. As a member of the Faith Longhorns football program, Class of 2015, he proudly wore jersey number 28, competing as both a running back and linebacker. His toughness, determination, and team-first attitude earned him respect from coaches, teammates, and supporters.
Outside of football, Wylee’s passion for the cowboy lifestyle remained central to his identity. He enjoyed rodeo and team roping, where he built lasting friendships and earned admiration for his skill, dedication, and sportsmanship.
Work and Community
Wylee was a hardworking employee with Nelson Trucking, admired for his humility and purpose. Friends described him as “the calm to the storm,” someone whose steady presence brought comfort and encouragement to others.
A Devoted Husband and Family Man
On September 6, 2025, Wylee married Jaclyn Nelson in Faith, beginning a new chapter filled with love and companionship. He was remembered as a devoted husband who cared deeply for Jaclyn and always sought to provide strength and support.
Family was the foundation of Wylee’s life. He was a loving brother, caring uncle, and treasured family member. His nieces and nephews especially cherished memories of wrestling matches, water fights, golf outings, and laughter-filled moments.
